Staff-student Bowling Competition 2009

On 9th December 2009 seven members of staff and over 40 students from Bradford Law School went head to head in a bowling tournament. Student teams comprised all three years of the LLB degree, Foundation degree in Law and Legal Practice and Marketing and Law programmes. After a gruelling hour of strikes, half strikes, gutter-balls and plenty of cheating, the Year 2 Boys team (plus their honorary female member) took the victory with a massive 606 points. The Superb Staff Team made it to a respectable 2nd place with 512 points.

Prizes were awarded to the three best bowlers in the competition:

1st place – Sajjid Ali, Year 2 LLB

2nd place – Zafar Ali, Year 3 LLB

3rd place – Darran Chapple, Programme Manager for Law

A great time was had by all, even students who had never bowled before were making strikes and dancing in the party atmosphere. It was a fantastic opportunity for students to let off steam before the crucial December deadlines.  Lecturer Aishah Mahdi said “I am looking forward to next year’s competition as I am sure that the Superb Staff Team can move up to the top spot!”
